Enjoying the summer here, never wanting it to end.
We're still taking Lucy out on a leash, every time she needs to go, and it's so lovely to head outside at, say midnight, and feel warm and welcoming air.
We've got about another month of that and then begins the inevitable decline into cold.
I've been having a blast over at Ravelry, getting set up, entering projects, joining groups. Please let me know if you're signed on, so I can friend you.
And speaking of knitting, I've been devoting available time to the Kimono Shawl, trying to get it done. I'm ready to begin repeat 23 (of 25). So I'm getting there.
But last night, of all things, my circular needle I was using went kerplooey--a wire pulled out of the needle part. There's no way to repair this, so into the trash it had to go. It's an old needle--I think it may have been my Aunt Mary's. I loved knitting on her needles, but this one's a goner. Fortunately I have another size 5 circular in a usable length so I can keep going. But it's an annoying cheapy (Addis have spoiled me), and my next LYS mission will to be buy an Addi in this size.
Sweet mother of pearl--I want these.
